WCECW300 Sitting the exam , Managing Stress

Exams are a highly intense time for many students. How we respond to stress is the key. Presented by Dr. Fidelma Healy, PhD., author of the Switching on for Learning: Becoming an Independent Learner, this on-point webinar is a key module in the Independent Learning programme, and is aimed particularly at students sitting exams. It is very useful for their teachers and parents too as they endeavour to support their exam student, in the lead-up to and during the exam period.

Learning Outcomes:

The Sitting the Exam & Managing Stress webinar enables students to:

  • get into the right frame of mind where they feel a greater sense of control and personal efficacy;
  • become familiar with a range of practical strategies for the countdown to the exams, the day of the exam, including useful exam techniques;
  • become aware of helpful strategies to help them deal with and relieve stress in their lives, most especially, during highly intense times like the exam period. This part of the webinar includes insightful and practical contributions from Richard Brennan (Alexander Technique master) and Cecile Jacquot (hypnotherapist).
