This workshop is aimed at everyone who works in education and offers an introduction to Restorative Practice through a trauma-informed lens, seeking to move conversations beyond behaviour management and towards the importance of connection and relationships. This understanding may be especially relevant when leading a restorative return to school and in a time when trauma is now a collective as well as an individual experience that our schools need to process. Relationships are and always have been key! Reconnecting and building responsive relationships are at the heart of a restorative approach and what our lovely schools need now more than ever.
• Cultivating an explicit restorative compass to navigate these times (post covid)
• Developing / reinvigorating a shared literacy & understanding of RP.
• Highlighting a trauma-informed lens.
• Offering practical and explicit tools, practices and thinking processes to support staff and the school community they serve.
