Facilitator - Dr. Katie Chapple

Dr. Katie Chapple is a former English and Geography post-primary teacher with over 20 years’ experience. She has worked as a consultant and student facilitator with UNICEF, Mary Immaculate College, and the Department of Education and Youth. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education Leadership, a Master of Education, and a PhD focused on eliciting youth voices in education.

Katie has twice received the Teaching Council of Ireland’s John Coolahan Research Support Framework bursary and was awarded the Mary Immaculate College Doctoral Award (2022–2023). She has also lectured in Educational Psychology, Inclusive and Special Education at Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. At present Katie is the Programme Director of WorldWise Global Schools, Irish Aid's national programme for Global Citizenship Education in Ireland.
