Your stay-at-home diary!
In these strange times we’re spending nearly all our time at home, away from our friends, nanas and grandas, aunts, uncles and cousins and we’re not able to go and do all the things that we ordinarily love to do. We’ve had to adapt and find all sorts of new and interesting ways to keep ourselves occupied at home.
With that in mind we’re asking children from all over West Cork to write a short ‘Stay-at-home’ diary entry (200 words approx) outlining what they’ve been doing all this time and what their thoughts and feelings are about these strange days.
Please include your name, age, class and school also.
Dr Dympna Daly of The West Cork Education Centre will then choose her favourite entries for publication in The Southern Star on Thursday, June 4th
To mark Grandparents' Day we’re asking students to write a short story titled either ‘My Grandfather’ or ‘My Grandmother’
The closing date for receipt of entries is January 23rd, 2020
