Callout for PDST TiE ICT Facilitators for 4 new courses


Tutor Application Form

The Digital Technologies Post Primary team have designed 4 courses to be delivered in term time specifically for Post Primary Teachers. The West Cork Education Centre in conjunction with PDST Technology in Education are currently seeking expressions of interest from teachers who would be interested in training to become facilitators for these evening workshops to be delivered in West Cork Education Centre.

PDST TiE will be delivering the facilitator training for these 4 courses

Over 2 days - 9th and 10th April

 In The Carlton Dublin Airport Hotel.

I am attaching course descriptors/tutor application and below is criteria and requirements for attending the training. The tutors who attend training will be trained in all 4 courses over the 2 days. You must be available to attend the training and to deliver the workshops in the West Cork Education Centre.

Tutor Criteria/Requirements: Tutor must -

Be qualified and experienced Post Primary teacher.

Have extensive experience of leading the integration of ICT in learning and teaching in their school or classroom.

Possess a broad and advanced range of ICT skills across a range of applications and technologies.

Be an excellent communicator. 

Be comfortable using a range of online tools and applications.

Have experience of training/lecturing in an adult learning environment.

Substitution cover will be provided if necessary. Subsistence and Travel (DES Training Rate) for the tutor training will be provided as per DES Guidelines.

We will look forward to receiving completed forms at West Cork Education Centre by Thursday 28th February 2019.

West Cork Education Centre will assess applications received and depending on our own requirements will nominate tutors to attend the national tutor training course and subsequently deliver the course. If the number of successful applicants exceeds the number of tutors required for these course, the relevant applicants' details will be kept on file for future ICT training requirements that may exist
