Star Writers Competition

West Cork Education Centre has teamed up with The Southern Star newspaper in organising a monthly writing competition for all primary schools in West Cork.

Each month a theme is announced and pupils are invited to write stories of no more than 200 words on the topic.

Each school entering the competition will please select one entry from the school, type it up and email that entry to us in the West Cork Education Centre at a dedicated email address: This email address is being protected from spambots. Dympna Daly, Director West Cork Education Centre will oversee the selection of a number of entries for publication.The writers of each published entry will receive a special certificate of publication. See also the notice in next week’s Southern Star. The top entries will be published in Thursday 23rd May edition of The Southern Star.

The theme for this month is: 'Why summer holidays are super in West Cork'

Closing date for receipt of entries is Wednesday 15th May 2019
