A Chairde,
I have a very exciting surprise for your pupils again and I hope you will participate!
I have organised our Ballymaloe trained chef with 30 years’ experience – Glena Casey, to do another live session ‘Bake along’ with Glena - Making chocolate chip cookies with pupils in West Cork primary schools, on Monday 8th March at 3.30pm.
Capacity for the webinar is 500, so the first 500 pupils to register can attend. It is ‘First come, first served’!! It’s a free event.
So families/pupils need to go onto our website and register immediately. Once registered, they will get the Zoom link before the session.
Please find below the recipe. Pupils will need to have all the ingredients ready and weighed out before the Zoom session starts. Put all the ingredients in different bowls. Make sure the butter is at room temperature for ease of beating. Have a food mixer ready and a baking tray with parchment paper. Glena will make the chocolate chip cookies live on Zoom, pupils can follow her as she goes.
I’m hoping that it can be a family event in their homes. As it’s a webinar, pupils’ cameras and sound will be turned off. However, pupils can ask questions in the chat function and I will moderate the chat and ask Glena the questions.
Glena is excellent, I saw her making these cookies on zoom already and I know the pupils will love it!
Looking forward to this!
