Rae McKinlay - comic artist/storyteller.
Rae McKinlay - Comic & Digital Artist and Storyteller. Rae uses the medium of comics and storytelling to walk with students on their learning journey. Comics and storytelling are a fun and engaging way to explore all topics. Rae sows seeds in drawing, i.e body and facial proportions, poses and gestures, colour, etc, in addition to the rudiments of storytelling. Rae also touches on the history of comics. One fun exercise that students enjoy is creating comic characters from fleshing out stick figures. Myths, Legends, Folklore, History, Community, Social issues and Well-being, in fact all kinds of topics can all be explored through comics.

Julie O'Hea - Visual Art
https://www.facebook.com/CreativEndeavoursByJulie
Julie O’Hea is a visual artist who lives in West Cork. Her work is deeply rooted in nature; She experiments with natural and foraged materials and spending time outdoors is an integral part of her creative process. Julie uses recycled and waste materials; transforming the mundane into something beautiful.
Julie has a natural inquisitiveness into the symbiosis between person and place; the interdependence with our local environment and the positive impact interaction with nature has on one’s well-being. In her practice, she aims to incite creativity, through connection with self, others, nature and the world around us.
Central to her artistic practice is engaging and collaborating with others; developing and facilitating programmes and workshops for community groups, schools and arts organisations for both adult and younger audiences. She is a keen advocate for listening to the participant voice and is devoted to making the arts accessible to all.
Julie works with the disciplines of drawing, painting, photography, printmaking and textiles and is always exploring new ways to make.
