This seminar is for special education and mainstream teachers at primary level.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

In this one-day seminar teachers will become familiar with identifying need, meeting needs and the review and monitoring progress for students with special educational needs.

Seminar Aims: 

To familiarise participants with the current guidance, and Department of Education policies

To consider the use of assessment to identify needs and plan for intervention

To engage in workshop activities on identifying needs and planning

An NCSE Certificate of Attendance is available to participants.

Participants will require permission from their Board of Management to attend.

Typically, substitution for this full-day professional learning experience will only be allowed

to class and subject teachers and if it is deemed essential by the principal.
